Dead heavy metal icon Ronnie James Dio is making a return to the stage as a hologram. The tour will kick off this November in Helsinki and to be titled as “Dio Returns.” More European dates will be announced later for the next month too and thereafter for South America, Australia and Asia.
The singer passed away in 2010 due to stomach cancer at the age of 67. His hologram debuted in 2016 at the Wacken festival in Germany.
According to his estate the Dio hologram will tour the world that debuted in 2016 and to end in early 2018.
Meanwhile, the Dio fans are a bit offended with the nature of arrangement, but thankfully the singer’s widow, Wendy Dio, has approved the project with her blessing.
She said the band hope to look some 100 shows with the virtual Dio.
